Today’s song comes from another legend. Sonny Boy Williamson just like RL Burnside yesterday was a Sharecropper and grew up in Mississippi. He became know in particular for his skills with the harmonica. Sonny eventually moved to Memphis and brought along several friends, one of which was Elmore James.
This particular track was originally actually written by Elmore James in 1950. It has since been covered Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, The Allman Brothers and Beck. Take a listen below to Sonny Boy’s version of the song.
