While my musical tastes have leaned more and more towards ambient and laid back styles over the years, there are a handful of more energetic acts I always come back to. The Exit is one of the those bands, and their album Home For an Island is always a safe bet when I’m looking for something with a lot of life to listen to.
In particular, Let’s Go to Haiti is one of my favorite tracks from this record. From it’s raw production and visceral performances comes a song full of life and character. Clocking in at just two and half minutes, this song is a race until the very end. It’s atypical song structure really help move the song along. This track is sure to get your blood flowing. Enjoy.
