By now, anyone who’s even a little interested in music is well aware of Radiohead — and most likely have been for many years. When the band released their latest studio effort, The King of Limbs, reaction was initially mixed, as ears took time to adjust to the new sound Radiohead’s music had evolved into.
Of course, this feeling was nothing new for fans of the rock group, who have been used to major stylistic changes between almost every one of their albums. While initially sounding cold and distant, most fans grew to enjoy The King of Limbs as it warmed up with repeated listens.
Many fans cite seeing the band perform the tracks live as the moment The King of Limbs clicked. The album’s opening song, “Bloom,” seems to take a much more free spirited jazz feel in this setting, as bandmates improvise on top of one another throughout the performance.
