Phoenix has been a very busy band since the release of their Bankrupt! in May, touring around the world relentlessly. They have already played the New York City market a few times in 2013, most recently at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem. This time around, Phoenix took the stage at the year old Barclays Center in Brooklyn. As you may recall, the last time this band played a New York City arena, they were joined by fellow Frenchmen, Daft Punk at Madison Square Garden just across the river. Suffice to say expectations were high on this warm Wednesday evening. Phoenix wasted very little time from the moment they got onto stage and jumped right into their heavy hitters with such as “Entertainment” and “Lisztomania.” The 20 song set spanned much of their career and left their fans in Brooklyn very satisfied.
