Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Tuesday’s Gone”

Song Of The Day

Song: Tuesday’s Gone

Artist: Lynyrd Skynyrd

LP: Pronounced ‘lĕh-‘nérd ‘skin-‘nérd

The classic track from the southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynryd is today’s song of the day. It being Sunday, it seems only appropriate to have a song from the past that encourages relaxation and reflection. Also, it is the second track of their debut LP and is one of their best because it’s the theme of Happy Gilmore the perfect Adam Sandler mid 90s classic, enough said. It’s a slow moving number, that in perfect Skynyrd style, also has a powerful and momentous side to it. The track is about losing someone because of working so much, a theme that is true to many today. The main riff also features an OurVinyl favorite, the Mellotron. Enjoy.
