James Blake has always been known for being different, but often it seems as if that description simply doesn’t do him justice. Over the course of five EP offerings and a stellar studio LP debut, Blake has consistently delivered both vocals and production that are not only out of the ordinary, but sometimes seem unfathomable, leaving the massive group of head-over-heels JB fans begging for the day when he finally becomes a household name.
From his third EP, Klavierwerke, the transcendent track “I Only Know (What I Know)” displays Blake’s ability to bounce things off the walls of wackiness while still keeping it relevant enough to bob some heads. Enjoy, and long live James Blake.
