Today’s song is in honor of the NATO summit that will invade Chicago tomorrow. They say about 80 world leaders will be in the city, along with their entourage. As with any event of this nature, when so many of the world’s most powerful people decide to be in the same place at the same time, you are going to get protest. And protesting is an important right. But it made this author think of the 68′ democratic convention and the protests that became something a bit more and forever changed political conventions. Graham Nash then wrote a beautiful song, Chicago, asking others to come to Chicago to protest the Vietnam war and other causes.
But this isn’t the Vietnam era anymore, it’s the Afghanistan and Iraq era. So we present you with a different version for a different time. Enjoy!
