Belmont Rock Showcase 2012: A Preview

Concerts

It’s no secret that Belmont University (Nashville, TN) is great place to be if you want a future in the music industry. The school is home to the only AACSB internationally accredited Music Business program in the entire world, and is known for offering its students hands-on/practical experience in all facets of the music industry. Among these “hands-on experiences” is an endeavor known as “The Belmont Showcase Series”.

Funded and managed by their Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business, the Showcase Series is an attempt to give students an up-close and personal look at what exactly goes into planning and executing a professional live production. Not surprisingly, a lot of music industry firms have taken notice, and publicly endorsed, sponsored, or otherwise supported the events (Bandit Lites, Spectrum Sound, IMAG, BMI, Sertoma Club of Nashville, Gear Seven Creative, and Wannado — to name a few). Recently, the organization was able to add one more sponsor to their list, (spoiler: it’s OurVinyl!).

The Series consists of 6 different shows throughout the year that are all assigned their own individual themes. This Saturday is their “Rock Showcase”, will consist of performances by Telegraph,  Rudy, Coin, and Kim Logan whose full bios are listed below. OurVinyl.TV will be shooting an exclusive live performance for whichever band comes out on top. If you’re in the area, you should definitely think about coming to check it out. If you’re not in the area, you should still probably check out the bands that will be participating.

Saturday, November 10th.
7PM-10PM

WHERE:

CURB EVENT CENTER: BELMONT UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.
NASHVILLE, TN

We are very proud and excited to be a part of something that is providing such valuable education to the future employees of the Industry we all love so much. We hope to see some of our Nashville readers out there!
