Akron/Family is known for their extremely loud, high energy live performances that bite influences out of the air to create an eccentric, warm avant-rock sound which would satisfy shoeless dancing hippies, shoegazing introverts, and cosmopolitan hipsters alike. This second single “Until the Morning” from their new LP Sub Verses (read our review of it here) finds them at their more languid side and giving in to a more melodic vocal delivery. It’s a song to wake up with, definitely a must hear for a group known just as much for their vocal cord busting hollers as their pensive Appalachian introverted lyrics.
